Should the US abolish the death penalty?
With the death penalty the government looses the moral superiority, so it should be abolished
There are so many cases where people turn out to be innocent. Because this occurrence is so widespread, even if "justice" is served with some people who may "deserve" the death penalty, innocent people dying outweighs that. Because it is better to protect innocent people than to serve justice to guilty people, we should abolish the death penalty.
If someone killed your sister, brother, mother, father, grandfather, grandmother, best friend, or any loved one in cold blood, don't they deserve to die?
