Yes, as has happened with Standard Oil a hundred years ago. Once a company reaches near monopoly status, US politics will turn against it. Argument is not that the platform harming customers (since their product is free!) but that they harming small businesses with their monopoly pricing power.

No, let free market competition work: if the big platforms no longer serve customers well then they will decline, similarly as has happened to prior dominant companies, e.g., IBM
