He's the only player other than Lebron to fully carry a team to the finals. Though Giannis is not better than prime Lebron, Lebron is a washed king rn so Giannis gets the crown as the best player in the world.

The finals were a stroke of luck Giannis has never played that well. Unless his fundamental game got exponentially better during the course of the season, he is not the best player in the world because his level of play during the finals is unsustainable and will not last.
