Yes, schooling needs to prepare the future generation to find jobs and should be much more practical. For example, very few people need calculus in their life, so schools should rather teach more useful concepts such as statistics / probability that everybody needs in their daily lives...

That is too short-minded since over a long career it is not clear what the 'best jobs' are. Rather schooling should lay the broad foundations for students to be adaptable whatever the job market demands
